If you notice on Netscape.com they have a tag cloud on every category page and even the main page.  And how do these tags get generated?  Well they are from users submitting tags.  And if the same tag is submitted an x number of times then that tag will be shown in the tag cloud.

When I first read about this here I thought you have to be kidding me.  There must be a better way to do this and it could be abused very easily but it’s true and that guy proved it.

My only question is how much more traffic could that bring and does it help your story get to the mainpage quicker?  I guess only time will tell before I can test that feature, although I don’t think I will have enough stories with the same tag to try it out.  I also wonder if you put in mulitple tags if each tag counts as one, and what if you put the same tag about 10 times.
